Chicoreus tangaroai is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Muricidae, the rock snails or murex snails.

NOTE: Refer to → [The Festivus, 2022, 54(1):21-28]. This species is named for Tangaroa, the Māori god of the sea.
